Top 15 Fall Nail Polishes!

Here are my all time top 15 nail polish picks for fall! This list went quickly from 5 to 10..then 15 as I was actually looking through my collection. I wanted to include some festive colors and some trendier ones, like the jewel toned colors. Hope this gives you some inspiration to get into fall :)

Essie: Bahama Mama
A dark burgundy color.

Revlon: Chalk Board Nail Art Matte Black
An opaque matte black.

China Glaze: Ruby Pumps
A red tinted base with fine red glitter.

Sinful Colors: Gorgeous
A duo-colored polish that turns from bkue to green in different lighting.

Orly: Haute Red
An opaque bright red.

Essie: Good as Gold
A perfect pure gold.

A straight up "grass green."

Orly: Sweet Peacock
A dark turquoise polish with very fine turquoise glitter.

China Glaze: Frostbite
A dark, yet bright, metallic blue.

Orly: Rage
A rose gold with silver and gold fine shimmer.

Ulta: Purplexed

Clarisonic Mia 2 Haul / First Impressions!

The day finally came! I got a Clarisonic! :)))
Thanks mom!
I have been wanting one for years, literally. I tried a few of the drugstore brand Clarisonic-like brushes, but was never impressed with them at all. I even tried to proactive one, but that one also didn't do much but vibrate enough to make it uncomfortable to hold while using it. However, much to my surprise..the Clarisonic doesn't vibrate at all..the brush is actually separated into two parts: an outer ring of bristles that stay stationary and an inner ring of bristles that move left to right in extremely small and fast movements. This not only helps the brush clean your face effectively, but it also doesn't tug at your skin like a brush that had bristles that make complete rotations would do.

Of course I tried this baby out last night as soon as I got it home. On first impression, I love love love love it. My face has seriously never felt cleaner in my life. I did follow the allotted time for all four sections of my face and then repeated because I did have makeup on. This morning I didn't feel the need to do it a second time, so from now on I will probably use a makeup wipe or a light face wash with my hands to remove makeup prior to using the Clarisonic.

To go with the Clarisonic I got the Philosophy Purity facial cleanser. I have been wanting to try this for a long time, but never thought it would work well just using it with my hands and I still feel the same about it..however, with the Clarisonic it is heaven. I have been a loyal Proactive user for many years (almost ten years) and I just don't feel that it is really getting my skin as clear as it used to. I have been having some random breakouts, which is not common for my skin at all. It could be stress of my semi-new job, life, etc..but my skin just hasn't felt "clean" even though I have been washing it at least three times a day. I do not think I will be having that problem anymore..and I do think I will be canceling my Proactive shipments, which for me is very nerve racking. I do have a few back up bottles though :)

The Mia 2 did come in a few different colors (of course I chose pink), but they all had the same extras in the package. The first thing it came with was a really cool charger. I expected it to be a little stand that the device would sit on to charge, but it's actually just a cord with a magnet that sticks to the handle and charges it so you don't have to worry about it getting wet. Next it came with a hard travel case (in the corner of the picture above) that does not bulk up the device for travel and will protect it pretty well. Then some extra goodies came with it.

The Fresh Soy Facial Cleanser.

And the Fresh Lotus Youth preserve face cream.

I have not tried the face wash yet, I will probably save that for traveling purposes. The face cream is super thick and very moisturizing. Having oily skin I probably don't need such a thick moisturizer, but I will be keeping it for those dry patches during the winter months.

All in all I am beyond happy with this skin care system and really have high hopes for it. I have heard about the "two week purge faze" where your skin adjusts to getting so clean and just purges all of the gunk out causing breakouts before the clear skin comes. I'm not looking forward to that, but if I will have clean, soft, smooth skin after..I guess I can deal with it.

I will do a review for you guys after I get to try it for a while to see how well it works and how much I would recommend it.

Hope you all have an amazing weekend :)

Weekly Haul.

Hey! How is evveryones weekend going? Too short, I already know! I did some shopping so I guess I can forgive father time.

First I went to Ulta on my lunch break yesterday..I went in to buy a new foundation, but we all know that's not all I walked out with..

I ended up getting the Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation. I have been lusting after the Estee Lauder Double Wear for months, but I kept having second thoughts since it is such a high coverage foundation. I really don't need a ton of coverage. Luckily I have never suffered from acne so I don't have many blemishes or scarring. I also don't have a lot of redness or discoloration. I do have freckles across my nose and under my eyes, but I usually don't go out of my way to cover them. I guess the more I thought about it, the more I talked myself out of buying it. I also wanted the Laura Mercier Silk Cream foundation, but honestly Ulta is much closer to my house and job than Sephora is. Shhh. I decided I wanted something with enough coverage to even out my skin tone, cover anything that needed covering, and wouldn't get too oily through out my work day..and thanks to the wonderful world of youtube, I chose this. I won't give too much away before the review, but its amazing so far.

I also wanted to try out a new primer. I have never been one for primers because the texture kind of grosses me out. I thought I had the perfect fix when I found the Benefit Stay Flawless primer that is in a stick form, but I HATED it and returned it. So I decided to try the NYX Shine Killer. I mainly wanted a primer because IT IS SO HOT lately and by lunch I feel like my makeup has slid down to somewhere near my ankles. My only concern about primers is being petrified they will break me out, so I never venture too far with them. I guess one won't hurt.

Next, I saw the new Revlon Chalkboard polishes. I definitely had no intentions of liking, or even buying any of these UNTIL it clicked..the black was matte. I have been in search for the Essie Matte polish for months and have yet to find it. I have ordered one from another brand online, but who has time to wait?! I do not typically like black polish, but I'm hoping the matte black looks nice for fall..Halloween if nothing else. The mint color is cute too, so that's a plus.

And THEN..the nasty little checkout line got me again. Nothing but Impulse Purchase City around there. I ended up with a Benefit Erase Paste, which I have wanted for the longest time. I'm not impressed. Its an awkward color, doesn't blend well, and has a weird smell. I think I'll try it a little more before I call it quits. I also picked up the Macadamia hair oil. I have wanted this forever, but the full size is a little steep. The sample size I got was $7-10 and will probably last forever.

Then today while running errands with my  niece, she asked if we could go in Target to just look around. I said no, knowing that no trip to Target ends in just looking around. Needless to say, we walked out of Target with $80 worth of stuff..luckily, some stuff was on clearance.

The first thing I got was a perfume. As a twenty-five year old adult, I tend to wear more "grown up scents", but something about the Justin Bieber - Someday perfume just had me hooked from the first time I smelled it in CVS. I could never bring myself to buy the full size, but good ole Target had the small bottle..thanks a lot.

I needed some new facewash and have been liking the orange Morning Burst, so I got the blue one. Not sure if there's a real difference, I guess we will find out.

Nail polish remover and pony tails, nothing special.

I bought the Sally Hansen cuticle oil thanks to my co-worker who has gotten into a habit of oiling her cuticles all day at work. Seems to be working for her, so I caved.

Finally, you gotta love Target's clearance stuff. I got a 3 pack of Crest 3D White toothpaste for $5. Im pretty sure that one tube is usually around that price, so why not? I got three Sally Hansen nail polishes for $1.74 each. They are more spring/summer colors, but who cares when it comes to nail polish? I DON'T! I needed bobby pins and found a super cute polka dot bobby pin tin full of them for way less than a regular pack, so I can't complain about that when I go through bobby pins like nobody's business. And the last two things i got were the John Frieda Full Repair deep conditioner for under $5! And the Aussie Hair Insurance leave in conditioner for about $1! I am really excited about these two since I am on my healthy hair kick.

Hopefully I won't be doing any more shopping til next payday, but you never know. I do plan to order some new makeup brushes when I get paid. I really want Sigma brushes, but have been interested in the Bubbi brushes recently. I have a week and a half to research some more.

Hope you enjoyed this haul and look forward to some upcoming reviews!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, beautifuls!

Fall B&BW Haul!

Good afternoon! Hope y'all are having a good week. I haven't had much time to post this week, but I am working on a more permanent schedule to stick to. Maybe Tuesdays and Thursdays? I haven't decided just yet, but I will keep you updated!

So today I have a haul for you..and if you don't like pumpkin, you won't like this!

I'm sorry about the bad photos, I need to figure out a better lighted set up.

But as you can see I definitely went a little cray in B&BW. I absolutely love fall..the weather, the clothes, and the scents! And by scents, I mean pumpkin.

No trip to B&BW is complete without the 5 for $5 hand sanitizers. Of course, I got four pumpkin themed ones and a strawberry..only because there were no more pumpkin ones to choose from. I got creamy pumpkin, pumpkin cupcake, sweet cinnamon pumpkin, I love pumpkin, and strawberry. Don't ask me to pick a favorite, because I can't!

Then the mini "travel" size products were on sale 3 for $10. So I got the sweet cinnamon pumpkin body spray and lotion, but they didn't have the shower gel so I randomly picked up twilight woods.

Next, I picked up the sweet cinnamon pumpkin large hand sanitizer for my desk at work. I believe this was $5.50 and it smells amazing.

The last thing I got was this whole set of pumpkin goodies. For only $25 it came with a full size foaming hand soap, regular hand soap, hand lotion, a smaller hand cream, and a hand sanitizer with a cuteeeee fox case. All in the sweet cinnamon pumpkin scent. I honestly think B&BW sets are the best value.

I am so happy with what I got, especially since I only splurged $48! Only downfall was that the candles weren't on their 2 for $22 sale so I couldn't get my "mahogany teakwood" fix.

Hope you all have a good day!

Hey Y'all! How was your Labor Day? Mine was pretty good since I sat home and got a paid holiday, which is always nice. I had a pretty boring weekend, but I did do a little bit (and by a little bit, I mean a lot) of shopping at Ulta, Walgreens, and CVS..so here it is!

15. Jordana Twist & Shine Balm Stain in Rock-n-Rouge

I told you it was a lot! I plan on doing reviews on all of these products after I get to try them out enough to know how they apply, last, etc. The only one I am not liking so far is the Benefit Stay Flawless Primer..I didn't find it to make my makeup last as long, or even close to as long, as it claims to..I think I'm going to exchange it for the Lorac Pro Palette and stay on my hunt for a good primer. Other than that, I'm excited for all of these products and have already used some of them quite a bit.

Hope y'all enjoyed this haul!

NOTD! (Drugstore)

Please excuse the crappy application..its late and I'm tired! BUT I am loving this combo! I'm feeling the need to get my last cute summery nail looks in before fall.

This is a total drugstore look using a Hard Candy polish in "Sweet Tooth" and a Sinful Colors SinfulShine with Gel Tech in "Wisp". I don't particularly like either color on its own, unless I do a few super thick coats and lets face it, ain't no body got time for that! But one thin coat of Wisp underneath a slightly thicker coat of Sweet Tooth is perfect.

Hard Candy's "Sweet Tooth" is a very sheer, milky white color base with a slight blue tint. The glitters in it are blue, silver, and a pink/lavender. I absolutely love several things about this polish.

First, I love that the glitters don't clump up when you paint it on like a lot of glitter polishes do. Even though they are pretty large pieces, they sit very well in the base when applied rather than grabbing onto the brush so you're left with a nail of glitterless clear polish.

I also love the actual base. It is thick enough to leave an "opaque" coat, yet still thin enough to dry quick. The consistency of it also allows the glitter to float in it instead of sinking into it or just laying flat on top. This causes the polish to have a 3d effect, especially after two coats.

Sinful Colors "Wisp" is a white cream polish from the SinfulShine collection. It is marketed as a "gel-like polish", but I don't find them to last any differently than regular polish. I have a few colors from this line and they are all very pretty colors, but nothing spectacular as far as quality and wear time.

I do find these polishes perfect for a base coat to any glitter or textured polish. They  are thick enough with one coat to prime the nail, and still thin enough to dry quickly and not have an inch of polish to chisel off. If you do plan to wear them alone, I recommend a good top coat..I do not like the way they look when they dry. I find that they dry to a dull finish, not shiny like they claim to. But hey..you win some, you lose some.

Over all I give this combo a two thumbs up. As far as the polishes individually, one and a half thumbs up (possible?)..only because I don't like either polish on its own.

Have a good day tomorrow and check back soon for my next post :)

Xoxo, Randi
